As of today, the Hamburg – Antwerp route, so popular with business travellers, returns to Hamburg Airport’s route network. The airline Chalair Aviation will be operating two daily flights between the two important port cities. The route will be served with the comfortable 19-seat Beechcraft 1900.
Belgian carrier VLM Airlines had suspended flights on the Hamburg – Antwerp route with immediate effect on 22 June as a consequence of the company’s insolvency. Chalair Aviation is now taking over the route. “We are delighted that we could acquire a new airline for the Hamburg – Antwerp route so quickly. With Chalair Aviation, we have a reliable partner to continue operations to this popular business destination,” says Michael Eggenschwiler, CEO of Hamburg Airport.
Chalair Aviation is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year. The airline, specialised in regional aviation, is a partner of the Air France/KLM frequent flyer programme.
Flights may be booked online at www.chalair.eu or at travel agents.
