Set off from northern Germany to explore exciting faraway places: Qatar Airways to launch scheduled operations from Hamburg Airport on 1 July 2024. The award-winning airline will take off for its Doha hub once a day. This new service gives northern Germans access to the diverse Qatar Airways route network. The airline offers onward flights from Hamad International Airport in Doha to more than 170 destinations worldwide. Many fascinating faraway places are then even easier to reach from Hamburg. An added highlight: Qatar Airways is the first airline to deploy the Dreamliner – the Boeing 787 – on scheduled operations from Hamburg. Hub in Doha: gateway to the world
With its central location, Doha’s multi-award-winning Hamad International Airport is the ideal starting point for exciting long-haul travel. Many destinations in Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand are reachable in just a few hours. From its hub in Doha, Qatar Airways flies to more than 170 destinations, including such popular places as the Maldives, Bangkok and Cape Town. Then there are exotic regions such as Goa in India, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Chengdu in China.
Daily service from Hamburg to Doha, Qatar
The first flight from Hamburg to Doha will take place on Monday, 1 July 2024. From then on, Qatar Airways will offer a daily service to its Qatar hub. Flights will leave Hamburg every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 3:40 pm (local time), landing at Doha around six hours later. For those who prefer to set off earlier, flights leave Hamburg for Doha at 9:20 am every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. And from Doha, you can reach the whole world.
First scheduled Dreamliner service from Hamburg
Qatar Airways will be operating the new Hamburg – Doha route with an aircraft model that has only rarely visited Hamburg before: the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This modern long-haul aircraft is famed for its fuel efficiency as well as its innovative design. Large windows, spacious cabins and the latest on-board technology make the journey an unforgettable experience.
