Hamburg Airport welcomes the 2025 summer season with a diverse and expanded flight offering that will take travelers to around 40 countries. The new summer flight schedule, which is valid until 25 October 2025, comes into effect on March 30th. easyJet, Wizz Air and Condor are expanding their services, while Croatia Airlines is a new airline at Hamburg Airport. Mallorca and Antalya remain the most popular destinations in the summer with around 70 weekly flights to Mallorca and around 40 to Antalya, but Greece and Albania are also being served more frequently. In total, around 55 airlines fly to around 120 direct destinations from Hamburg throughout the year.
"The summer flight schedule will start directly on 30 March with two inaugural flights from easyJet to Milan and Rome – this is how we are ringing in the summer season with an additional offer. Demand for private and leisure travel was already particularly high last year. And we assume that northern Germans will travel a lot by plane again this summer. We are therefore pleased that the service from Hamburg continues to be characterised by a diverse mix of airlines and convenient connections to international hubs. Our passengers can look forward to even better connections to long-distance destinations, whether via Frankfurt with Condor or via other important hubs such as London, Paris, Istanbul, Doha or Dubai. Over 1000 destinations worldwide can be reached with just one change," says Katja Bromm, Head of Communications at Hamburg Airport.
Improved connectivity to international hubs
Since 2 March, Condor has been offering a twice-daily connection from Hamburg to Frankfurt. The route provides passengers with convenient access to the airline's global route network. This means that travellers can fly twice a day with Condor from Hamburg to Frankfurt and from there comfortably reach the USA, Canada and the Caribbean with just one change. In the 2025 summer flight schedule, Condor is expanding its offer from Frankfurt with new attractive destinations. Panama City is brand new to the program, which will be served twice a week. In addition, Condor now offers year-round connections to Bangkok (Thailand) and Johannesburg in South Africa. These expansions open up even more opportunities for travelers to travel long-distance from Frankfurt. Among other things, the brand-new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft will be used on the route to Frankfurt.
Croatia Airlines flies from Hamburg Airport for the first time
In July, Hamburg Airport welcomes a new airline: Croatia Airlines, Croatia's national airline, will enrich its route network from Hamburg with a new connection to the Croatian capital Zagreb from 1 July 2025. The airline will take off three times a week – on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays – from Hamburg to Zagreb. This new route offers travellers from northern Germany a direct connection to the up-and-coming metropolis in southeastern Europe.
New and popular routes with Wizz Air: Romania, Georgia and Albania
The Hungarian airline Wizz Air will serve a completely new destination from Hamburg from 1 August: Three times a week, it will fly to the Romanian city of Sibiu, also known as Hermannstadt. The attractive traffic days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday offer flexible options and make the historic city of Sibiu more accessible for Hamburg travellers. In addition, Wizz Air will resume the connection to Kutaisi in Georgia from April 15. The New York Times recently added the city – as well as Hamburg – to its list of top destinations for 2025.
In addition to other destinations in Serbia, Poland, Macedonia or Bulgaria, Wizz Air also offers trips to Tirana in Albania, where it lands seven times a week. Albania is an increasingly popular destination during the summer months. The tourist offer there is growing rapidly – most recently, Albania was also the host country of the International Tourism Exchange in Berlin.
More flexibility for travel in Europe and the Middle East
From March 30, easyJet will offer daily flights to Rome and Milan. With the British airline's new offer, city travellers, business travellers and holidaymakers can optimally adapt their travel times and benefit from more choices for their travel plans.
Eurowings has already been connecting Hamburg with the Israeli metropolis of Tel Aviv twice a week since February 3 – the route will continue to be flown in the summer flight schedule. The non-stop connection allows many people to visit their families and friends in Israel more easily again.
Popular destinations even more accessible
In the summer 2025, travelers will also benefit from improved accessibility to popular destinations. Many airlines are increasing capacity, resulting in a wider choice of flights and increasing flexibility in travel planning. For example, Turkish Airlines offers up to five flights a day to Istanbul in the high season, which corresponds to an increase of an average of three departures per week. LOT Polish Airlines has also increased its frequencies to Warsaw and now offers flights three times a day, except on Sundays. Wizz Air is also increasing its offer and will fly to Bucharest five times a week from July. In addition, some airlines are also using larger aircraft. For example, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines plans to increase the number of seats by over 20 percent by using larger aircraft.
