Compliance – Reporting Channels

Reporting offices pursuant to German Whistleblower Protection Act

Through quality, reliability and professionalism, Hamburg Airport has established a strong reputation that extends well beyond the borders of northern Germany.

The foundation for this impeccable standing is built on our strong commitment, the high ethical standards we impose on ourselves and our business partners, and on responsible corporate leadership. We are committed to open, transparent and fair dealings throughout our day-to-day business operations.

In this context, both Flughafen Hamburg Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung and its majority holdings comply with the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive for the protection of persons reporting breaches of European Union law and the national Whistleblower Protection Act (“Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz”).

The EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and in particular the Whistleblower Protection Act serve to protect persons (e.g. from employment law sanctions) insofar as these persons have obtained information of (legal) breaches in the context of their employment activity and have reported or exposed these breaches.
